Tohu creation for
Whare Creative

Drawing inspiration from mahi rāranga (weaving) and the combined effort of multiple tāngata (people), kaimahi (workers) and the partnerships which are built throughout the process of weaving. Miro (twisting of fibres/ harakeke), is referenced here with the twist and curves which can be seen in our Whare Creative tohu. With the flow of the typeface we acknowledge our atua (deities) who gave way to inspiration, creativity and our connection to our seen and unseen world. In the tohu we also pay tribute to Ngā Puna Waihanga, a source of all creativity within Te Ao Māori.
